Kick off 2024 with purpose! Join us in gearing up for Environmental Day (E-Day) at the State Capitol. The legislative session starts on January 10. We have two webinars to help prepare you for E-Day and the tools needed to be a citizen advocate in 2024: Advocacy 101: Make a Difference for West Virginia: A lunch and learn webinar on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 12 – 1 pm. Learn how the WV legislature works, how a bill becomes a law, and some tips for talking with legislators. Register for the advocacy webinar here. E-Day Advocacy: Bills and Talking Points: This webinar on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 7 pm – 8 pm will offer information about legislation WVEC supports and provide talking points for meeting with legislators. Register for the talking points webinar here. E-Day is a chance to see the legislature at work, tour the Capitol, meet environmental groups and advocate for WVEC’s legislative priorities.
