Dear WVEC Supporter: Get reacquainted with the WVEC at our 30th Anniversary meeting! Join us for a picnic at Gorman Shelter at Coonskin Park in Charleston on Saturday, October 12 from noon to 4:00PM. We will discuss our 2020 legislative priorities and mingle and share ideas with local and statewide candidates including Stephen Smith, running for governor, and Sam Petsonk, running for Attorney General. All candidates are invited to attend. Thank you for being a long-term supporter of the West Virginia Environmental Council (WVEC)! For 30 years, the WVEC has been the umbrella organization of the state’s environmental community providing a voice at the state Capitol for people who care about clean air to breathe and safe water to drink. Over the years, our mission has expanded to advocating for campaign finance reform, fighting against tax cuts for the coal industry and much more. Save the date for E-Day 2020 taking place on January 28 at the state Capitol. All member groups are invited to table at the event and share a day of lobbying with other statewide environmental groups. Everyone invited! Send questions, comments, RSVPs to info@wvecouncil.org. Donations requested. Also see our facebook event page. Thank you for your support and we hope to see you on October 12.
