As the second week of the West Virginia legislative session unfolds, we’re here to bring you the latest updates and opportunities to get involved. Check out the updates below from our WVEC Lobby team.

E-Day is March 17! This year marks 35 years of citizen advocacy at the WV State Capitol—join us to speak with legislators, connect with advocates, and make an impact. Want to be prepared? Don’t miss our E-Day prep webinar on February 25 at 7 pm to learn about key issues and how to engage effectively. Register and learn more in the article below.

Your lawmakers need to hear from you! Contact them and urge them to support bills that protect our health and environment. Need help? We have a full list of legislative resources below to keep you informed throughout the session.

And don’t forget, Black Policy Day is March 10—another key opportunity to stand up for justice and equity in West Virginia.

Stop the Rate Hikes!

AEP is seeking another rate increase for West Virginians despite their electric rates already having more than doubled in the past 15 years. The rate increases are making it increasingly difficult for families, small businesses, churches, and schools to afford their electric bills.
