Delegate Mike Pushkin speaks at the 2024 Environmental Day at the WV State Capitol.

The West Virginia legislative session moves fast, and lawmakers make daily decisions that impact our communities. Now is the time to speak up. Lawmakers need to hear from the people they represent—not just lobbyists and special interests. If an issue matters to you, your voice can make a difference.

Two key advocacy events are coming up: Black Policy Day on March 10 and Environmental Day on March 17. Show up, engage with legislators, and be part of the conversation! A quick email, phone call, or even a social media message can go a long way in shaping lawmakers’ decisions under the golden dome.

Be sure to check out the latest updates from our lobby team to stay informed on the key issues and actions you can take.

Looking for more ways to stay engaged? Our 2025 WV Legislative Resources page offers essential tools to track legislative activity. We also encourage you to follow and sign up for newsletters from Conservation WV, WV Rivers, WV Citizen Action Group, Sierra Club WV, and WV Highlands Conservancy to stay informed. Check out a recent post from Conservation WV, a WVEC member group, opposing a proposed water bottling plant near Middleway, WV.

Don’t wait until it’s too late—contact your representatives today and let them know where you stand. Need help finding your legislators? We have a great resource here.

Thank you for being part of this movement. Please consider donating to support our lobby team or updating your membership today. Together, we can make a real impact on West Virginia’s future.
