At the West Virginia Environmental Council (WVEC), we believe that every West Virginian deserves clean water, breathable air, protected public lands, and a future not dictated by fossil fuel lobbyists. Our work — made possible by supporters like you — fights for stronger regulations, environmental justice, and community-driven solutions.

Recent proposals to store CO₂ beneath state parks, weaken enforcement of timbering laws, and the continued business as usual from coal and gas operations are stark reminders of what’s at stake.
