Welcome Back, Lucia!

Hello! My name is Lucia Valentine, and I will be lobbying for a fourth time with the West Virginia Environmental Council (WVEC) during the 2025 legislative session. 

Growing up in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, I am proud to be from the Mountain State. In 2019, I  graduated from Shepherd University, where I studied Environmental Science. Upon graduating, I started to develop my career in environmental policy. 

With 5+ years of experience in legislative advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and coalition building, I am deeply committed to advancing initiatives that strengthen communities and enhance the quality of life in West Virginia. My passion for creating meaningful impact, coupled with my proven ability to navigate complex community dynamics and build strong relationships, makes me well-suited to help advance the mission of the WVEC. I look forward to working alongside our member groups to advocate for environmental protection in West Virginia.
