Welcome Back, Hannah!

Hi everyone! I am back and very excited for my second year of lobbying for the West Virginia Environmental Council. I’ve been working for E-Council over the last year as their Outreach Coordinator, so I’ve been building relationships and helping promote events with environmental groups and advocates across the state. 

I finished up my graduate degree last May in Public Administration from Old Dominion University. Shortly afterwards, I began working for WV Rivers Coalition part-time, assisting with pipeline work, water policy, and other environmental issues. Working for both E-Council and WV Rivers has been very enlightening and I have gained an even greater passion for environmental issues and advocacy within our state. I plan to continue my work of prioritizing environmental justice and equity within our communities, and hope to bring more awareness and education to our lawmakers to make these necessary changes that our state desperately needs.

If you have any interest in volunteering at the Capitol with us, feel free to reach out to me and I can help you with details about where to park, where to find your legislators and help you come up with persuasive arguments for some of your issues, if needed. We need a lot of people contacting their legislators, either in-person or over the phone, during the next several weeks.
