From Friends of Blackwater
The WV DEP Division of Mining and Reclamation will hold an online Public Hearing for the Keystone mining discharge permit from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 as result of the comments and petition signatures submitted by Friends of Blackwater and you!
Click here to access the public hearing on September 16th at 3 PM. The purpose of the hearing is to allow comments from those who may be adversely affected by the application for a NPDES Permit for Keystone’s Surface Mine, located next to Beaver Creek. FOB will be advocating for the health of Beaver Creek and requesting the reclassification of the creek as a trout stream.
