Request for Proposals for Lobby Team Coordinator
The WVEC Governmental Affairs Committee is seeking written proposals for a person to work full time during the 2005 Legislative Session.
Duties will include: Assembling a lobby team, lobbying, Fundraising, budget planning, liaison with the WVEC
Gov./Legis. Affairs Committee and the WVEC Board on a regularly scheduled basis. Writing weekly articles for the GREEN will be necessary and a
commitment to complete the wrap up for the Green no later that 2 weeks following the close of the 2005 session.
Proposal should include: personal background information, appropriate experience and monetary expectations. Also, advise whether or not you would be interested or willing to commit to following our environmental issues with state and federal agencies year around and during the interims after the regular session ends.
Additionally, in your proposal please address the following questions:
What is your philosophy regarding the use of WVEC membership in assisting in our lobbying efforts? How would you propose to facilitate this procedure?
Too, what is your philosophy regarding enlisting other lobbying groups, such as teachers, social workers, children's issues, health issues, etc. into a coalition, as appropriate, to further enable WVEC to reach environmental goals? How would you propose to facilitate this procedure.
Request for Proposals for lobbying full or part time on behalf of the WVEC:
WVEC is seeking lobbying proposals for both full time and part time during the next Legislative Session. Please include in your proposal the number of hours per day, week, or month to which you are willing to commit during the Session. Also, advise whether or not you would be interested or willing to commit to following our environmental issues with state and federal agencies year round and
during the Interims after the Session ends. Too, you will be expected to write articles for our Green Weekly newsletter regarding what's
happening at the session. You will also be asked to meet on a regular basis with the WVEC
gov/legislative Affairs Committee.
