Topic- ATV bill
Monday Feb. 2, the Senate voted to change the ATV bill into one that is mostly about child safety. It will also require ATVs to adhere to all the rules of the road. The bill doesn't say where they may or may not go, but it appears they won't be on the roads. With a few exceptions. This should help us in our goal of protecting public lands from ATVs. Please call your
delegate(s) and urge them to accept the Senate position on 4022.
Our allies in this fight include the state medical association, the social workers, ATV manufacturers and lots of groups. Keeping the machines off paved roads will not only save lives, it will also protect public lands with state roads running through them.
The phone number for the Delegates' offices is 1-877-565-3447. To learn your Delegate's capitol number go to the web site
www.legis.state.wv.us and get to the House page. They do have answering machines.
After you call, please urge others to call their delegates also.
