By Morgan King, West Virginia Rivers
WV Rivers launched the West Virginia Climate Pledge to increase awareness of climate change and grow a larger base of support for climate action in our state. Anyone that takes the pledge will receive a free sticker with artwork (attached) designed by Nichole Westfall to commemorate their commitment to climate action in West Virginia and beyond.
What does taking the Pledge mean? It means the pledge taker supports fundamental principles of climate change and action. We hope this pledge raises awareness of the existence, causes, and impacts of climate change and encourages more thought around critical solutions to the biggest challenge of our time. Pledge takers will be updated on opportunities to advocate for climate action that centers science and justice while protecting our people, waters, and lands.
Take the pledge here!
