Change happens when we show up! For 35 years, Environmental Day (E-Day) has united advocates to demand stronger environmental protections for West Virginians. Attending isn’t just about networking or displays—it’s about showing up, being seen, and holding legislators accountable for their decisions about our environment, health, and future.

Join us at the WV State Capitol this Monday, March 17, 2025, from 9 am to 2 pm to stand with fellow advocates and send a clear message: West Virginians demand strong environmental protections for clean air, safe water, and public lands.

E-Day will also include an awards ceremony honoring outstanding advocates with the Emerging Activist, Legacy and Environmental Protection, and Lifetime Achievement Awards. A full agenda is below.

As part of E-Day, the West Virginia Environmental Council and partner organizations will host a People’s Public Hearing on Senate Bill 592 (SB 592) outside the House of Delegates at noon. SB 592 seeks to remove over 1,000 oil, gas, and coal tanks from inspections mandated under the Aboveground Storage Tank Act. Unwind with us at the E-Day After Party at the legendary Empty Glass from 5:30 to 9:00 pm! Enjoy live music from Swingstein and Robin, Through the Trees, Mike Pushkin, Shayar and Krooshal Force, and more! Donations will benefit WVEC.

The best way to make an impact? Show up.

See you at the WV State Capitol!
