On Thursday the Senate EIM committee passed S.B. 370, the LEEP bill (Local Energy Efficiency Partnerships). The second committee reference has been waived, so prospects look good for the bill making it out of the Senate before crossover day (Wednesday, 3/2)!
Also on Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee passed S.B. 691, which makes a couple of important changes that are essential to the DEP’s ability to develop a state implementation plan under the EPA’s clean power plan.
And on Friday morning, Senate Judiciary passed S.B. 625. This bill provides that, when public water utilities involve the public in developing their source water protection plans, they are allowed to share information that is already in the public domain.
Please contact senators and ask them to vote YES on all these bills! Individual contact info is here, and a handy copy-and-paste e-mail list is here.
