- Bring an old shirt, bandana, or cotton tote to upcycle with an anti-data center design by Oli Moran. Join the community for a fun First Friday to fight back against the data center boom happening in West Virginia. This event is free, but donations are welcome. Learn more HERE.
June 26: Public Art Bike Tour | Charleston — Lee Street Triangle at 6:30 p.m.
- Join West Virginia Pedal Pals for a 60-minute, beginner-friendly group ride exploring the amazing public art around Charleston. Meet at the Lee Street Triangle (805 Lee Street) in front of the blue ‘Bike Man’ sculpture. Bring your own bike and helmet! Don’t forget to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated during the ride. - Join Master Naturalists from across West Virginia for a weekend of learning, field experiences, networking, and fellowship at beautiful Camp Dawson. Learn more HERE.
July 25: Nature Walk for Kids | Morgantown — Flegal Reservoir at 10 a.m.
- Join the Mon Group of the Sierra Club for a picnic, scavenger hunt, and nature walk at the Flegal Reservoir on Cobun Creek Road, one mile from the Kingwood Pike near Morgantown, WV. There will be an easy 2.5-mile hike around Morgantown’s newest reservoir with beautiful lakeside views. A food truck will be available to sell lunches. The event is free and open to the public. Take action to help strengthen the DEP cleanup plan for the Lower Guyandotte watershed. Thanks to a court case won by West Virginia Rivers and partners in 2024, DEP is now working to fix damage to the Lower Guyandotte ecosystem from mining pollution. Take action HERE by June 30!
