The 2025 Legislative Session is halfway through, and crossover day is approaching. We’ve been focused on water quality, state park protections, and above-ground storage tanks—thank you to everyone who took action this week! See our update below for key developments.

Don’t miss Environmental Day (E-Day) 2025 at the WV State Capitol this Monday, March 17! Advocates from across the state will gather to push for stronger environmental protections, engage with legislators, and rally for clean air, safe water, and public lands. A key moment of the day will be the People’s Public Hearing on SB 592 at noon, where citizens will speak out against dangerous rollbacks to water protections.

After a day of action, celebrate with us at the E-Day After Party at the Empty Glass from 5:30 to 9:00 pm—featuring live music and community solidarity. Don’t miss this powerful day of advocacy and celebration!

The time to act is now— find your legislators and let them know where you stand today.

Thank you for being part of this movement. Every voice matters. Please consider donating to support our lobby team or updating your membership today!

Change happens when we show up! For 35 years, Environmental Day (E-Day) has united advocates to demand stronger environmental protections for West Virginians. Attending isn't just about networking or displays—it's about showing up, being seen, and holding legislators accountable for their decisions about our environment, health, and future.

WV Citizen Action Group
Our electricity bills have more than doubled between 2002 to 2022. Now, AEP wants to raise them again! They made costly mistakes and want us to pay for them. West Virginians for Energy Freedom (WV4EF) invites you to tell Appalachian Power that we can't take more rate hikes.
