Happy Halloween from WVEC!
We are excited to welcome and introduce Kasey Russell as our new lobbyist. Kasey brings a wealth of policy and lobbying experience to WVEC. She is covering the West Virginia legislative interims, closely monitoring developments, such as the recent special session, and getting to know our WVEC coalition partners.
We look forward to working with Kasey and invite you to check out her bio below and join us in extending a warm welcome!
Looking ahead, we are working to advance our 2025 legislative priorities. In September, we held our annual meeting to determine our priorities, and we’ve included a wrap-up of the discussions and outcomes in this newsletter. Additionally, we encourage you to check out information about election resources, stay informed about candidates and issues that matter to our community, and vote!
Your support is crucial to our success, and we are grateful for your ongoing commitment to WVEC. Please consider donating or renewing your membership to help us continue our advocacy and outreach efforts. Together, we can make a real impact!

I moved to Morgantown in 1996 (my first husband went to West Virginia University's law school) and then to Charleston in 1999. I fell in love with the state and happily raised two kids (now 25 and 22) in Charleston.
