Get informed and make a plan to vote! GoVoteWV.com makes it easy to see your sample ballot, explore your voting options, and much more. For an early voting site, please visit the Secretary of State website.
Find out what’s on your ballot. An interactive sample ballot tool is available here.
- In addition to choosing your party’s nominees for the General Election, the Primary Election is your only opportunity to vote for candidates for various judicial offices, your county board of education, and conservation district supervisor.
- Your political party matters when you vote in the Primary Election because it determines which ballot you may receive. If you are registered with one of the four recognized political parties (Democratic, Libertarian, Mountain, or Republican), you may only vote for that party’s ballot or the non-partisan ballot. If you are registered with any other party or with no party, you can request a ballot for one of the recognized parties, or you will be given the non-partisan ballot.
