Friends of Blackwater, with help from many others, have been working hard on the Rail Trail Botanical Restoration Project. Accomplishing this project will be beneficial to all species in the community, and will create more accessibility to green space. This portion of the project will continue until October this year, and they need your help! This week’s work days are Saturday, June 26 from 3-7 p.m. and Sunday, June 27 10-1 p.m. Meet in the parking lot of the B&L at 571 Douglas Rd, Thomas. WV Clean Cities, a partner of Mid-Atlantic Electrification Partnership (MAEP), is hosting an EV EXTRAVAGANZA event on Saturday, June 26, from 9-3 p.m. at IBEW Local 466, 800 Indiana Ave. The entire event is free and open to the public. They will have electric vehicles on display and available for ride-alongs. A waiver will be provided for passengers.
