From Our Partners at WV Rivers Coalition
WV Rivers’ Environmental Justice (EJ) Zine—a short, pocket-sized magazine—and landing page are live!
Join them as they explore the connections between environmental issues and community well-being. This resource highlights how pollution, development, and policy decisions often impact vulnerable communities the most. Through examples, facts, and visuals, the zine empowers readers to understand these challenges and take action for a healthier, more just West Virginia. We are so incredibly grateful to have worked with Sèamus Rionann, a WV-based artist and illustrator, to create this new resource.
Every West Virginian deserves a safe and healthy environment to live, work, and play — and that’s the kind of future West Virginia Rivers Coalition is working towards.
In their work, they:
- Show respect for the history, culture, traditions, capacities, and identities represented in the places we work.
- Stand with communities that have been overburdened by pollution and are facing consequences of cumulative impacts.
- Work in partnerships with communities to develop solutions to environmental injustices.
- Follow the lead of communities, joining them in the work to protect and restore their environment and health.
