Greetings!
First, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended our virtual E-Day on Wednesday evening. It was a huge success and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of you, even if it was in a different setting than usual. We want to extend a big thank you to Delegate Evan Hansen and Delegate John Doyle for taking the time to participate in our panel discussion on things happening at the Capitol. Angie Rosser, the executive director of WV Rivers Coalition, also was one of our panelists and we greatly appreciate her contributions of water policy updates as well. Our lobbyists, Hannah King and Rob Casto, provided useful tips on how to contact legislators and stressed the importance of letting them know your opinions.
We enjoyed wonderful live music from Putnam County and had a live auction of an exquisite Charly Hamilton print, presented by auctioneer and WVEC board member Greg Carroll who also donated the artwork. Thank you to Sandy Sowell, Gerry Collyard, and Stephen Hill for their music!! Also, we want to give a shout out to Catherine Wheeler, who had the highest bid for the beautiful Charly Hamilton print. Thank you so much!
We truly wish this could have been an in-person event, but we were ecstatic to see so many of you join us virtually. Thank you to everyone who donated, as well. E-Council will continue fighting for environmental protections for the state of West Virginia and our people!
For anyone who missed E-Day and wants to watch it, we have it recorded here. Thanks also to WVEC board member and OVEC staffer Dani Parent who handled the behind the scenes technology that evening and kept things running smoothly, WVEC board member Aileen Curfman who served as our doorkeeper, and WVEC Vice President Sandra Fallon who led the E-Day planning committee!
If you haven’t yet donated this session, please take a moment to support our lobby team. You can also mail a check to: WVEC, P.O. Box 1007, Charleston WV 25324 – thank you!
