It was standing room only with more than 24 organizations turning out to fill the upper Rotunda on Tuesday! It was a great day of citizen lobbying on our legislative priorities with a focus on clean drinking water.
We were so thankful to have Tracy Danzey join us from the Eastern Panhandle, along with over a dozen other environmental advocates representing the Eastern Panhandle Sierra Club, Green Coalition, and Jefferson County Foundation. After our noon rally, we trouped over to the House Health Committee’s office and asked Chairman Hill to put the Clean Drinking Water Act(HB 4542) on his committee’s agenda.
Petitions opposed to a bad water bill, HB 4079, were delivered on the House floor by Delegate Mike Pushkin.
