From our partners at WV Citizen Action

Urgent action is needed to prevent a hasty decision on nuclear waste regulation primacy in West Virginia. Primacy means our state, not the federal government, would control nuclear waste regulation.

The State Senate may vote on HB 208 as early as Oct. 6. We must act before then!

Key concerns:

  1. The newly-formed Department of Health lacks expertise for this complex task
  2. Potential for out-of-state nuclear waste in WV
  3. Loopholes allow dangerous waste transport and storage

Your urgent actions:

  • Use this template to email your senator and Governor Justice TODAY
  • Demand they reject HB 208 during the Special Session
  • Call for a thorough study before the 2025 regular session
  • Share this email with 5 friends

Your voice matters. Time is critical.

Act now!
